3. Collecting, processing and using personal data

3.1 Personal data
Personal data is information about professional or personal relationships of a certain or identifiable natural person. This includes your name, telephone number, address, and all inventory data that you disclose to us when registering and when creating your customer account. This does not include statistical data that we collect when you visit our web shop that cannot be directly connected to you. For example, statistics about which sites of our shop are especially popular or how many users visit certain sites at our
According to the Federal Data Protection Act, you have a right to free information about your stored data as well as a right to correct, lock or delete this data.
3.2 Customer account
For each customer that registers appropriately, we set up a password-protected direct access to their inventory data that we store (customer account). Here you can view data about your concluded, open and recently sent orders and manage your address data, bank connections and the newsletter. You undertake to treat the personal access data confidentially and not make it accessible to unauthorised third parties. We are not liable for misused passwords, unless we are responsible for the misuse.
3.3 Collecting, processing and using your personal data
We collect, store and process your data for the entire processing of your purchase – including possible later guarantees – for our services, technical administration as well as marketing purposes. Your personal data will only be relayed to third parties or otherwise transmitted if this is necessary to process contracts or invoices or if you have given your prior consent. As part of order processing, for example, the service providers we use (e.g., carriers, logisticians, and banks) receive the necessary data to process orders and assignments. Our service providers may only use data transferred in this way to fulfil their task. Other use of this information is not permitted and is excluded with any of the service providers we employ.
For your order we need your correct name, address and payment data. We need your e-mail address so that we can confirm receipt of your order and communicate with you. We also use it for your identification (customer login), and will send your order and delivery confirmation to this address.
Your personal data will be deleted if this does not contradict statutory duty to preserve records and if you assert your right to deletions, if the data are no longer necessary to fulfil the purpose pursued by their storage, or if their storage is not allowed due to other legal grounds.
We use technical and organisational means to secure our website and other systems against loss, destruction, access, alteration or dissemination of your data through unauthorised persons. However, despite regular monitoring, absolute protection against all dangers is impossible. According to the Federal Data Protection Act, you have a right to free information about your stored data as well as a right to correct, lock or delete this data. Please address any questions about collecting, processing or using your personal data to the authority named under item 1.
3.4 Using your data for advertising purposes
We use the data you disclose to us to fulfil and process your order. Your data will not be relayed to third parties for advertising purposes.
We process your data to handle your purchase and use it to communicate with you about your orders. If you register for our newsletter, we will use your e-mail address for our own advertising purposes until you unsubscribe from the newsletter, which you can do at any time.
You can object to the use of your personal data for advertising purposes at any time, either overall or for individual measures, without incurring any costs other than transmission costs in accordance with the basic tariffs. A message in text form (e.g., e-mail, fax, or letter) will be sufficient for this.
3.4.1 Newsletter and individual advertising for you
In order to send the newsletter, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure (i.e., we will only send you a newsletter if you confirm that you wish us to activate the newsletter by clicking a link in our notification e-mail).
If you do not wish to receive any more newsletters or any advertising notices at all, you can object to these at any time without incurring any costs other than transmission costs in accordance with the basic tariffs. A message in text form (e.g., e-mail, fax, letter) will be sufficient for this. Of course, you will also find an unsubscribe link in every newsletter.
Information we receive from you helps us to permanently improve your purchasing experience and make it more customer-friendly and individually-oriented. We use the information you relay to us and the information that is automatically generated to design advertisements tailored to you and your interests. We do this by using available information such as receipt and reading confirmations of e-mails, information about computers and internet connections, operating systems and platforms, your order history, your service history, date and time of your visit to the homepage, and products that you viewed.
We use this information exclusively in a pseudonymised form. Analysing and assessing this information enables us to improve our website and internet offerings and to send you individual advertisements (i.e., ads that recommend products that you could really be interested in). Our goal is to make our advertisements more useful and interesting for you. Therefore, assessing and analysing the pseudonymous data collected from you helps us to not send you ads indiscriminately, but to relay ads to you (e.g., newsletters and product recommendations) that match your fields of interest. For example, we also compare which of our advertising e-mails you open in order to avoid sending you unnecessary e-mails.
If you do not wish to receive personalised advertisements, you can object at any time, either overall or to individual measures, without incurring any costs other than transmission costs in accordance with the basic tariffs. A message in text form (e.g., e-mail, fax, letter) will be sufficient for this.
3.4.2 Contests, market and opinion research
In the case of contests, we use your data for winning notifications and to advertise our offers. You will find detailed remarks in our participation conditions for each contest. We also use your data for market and opinion research. Of course, we only use these in an anonymised form for statistical purposes and only for ANTON HÜBNER GmbH & Co. KG. Your answers to surveys will not be transferred to third parties or published. We do not store the answers from our surveys together with your e-mail address or other personal data.
You can object to the use of your personal data for market and opinion research at any time, either overall or for specific measures, without incurring any costs other than transmission costs in accordance with the basic tariffs. A message in text form (e.g., e-mail, fax, letter) will be sufficient for this. Of course, you will also find an unsubscription link in every survey e-mail.

4. Credit check

If we must make an advance payment (e.g., for a purchase on account), we might obtain a credit report based on a mathematical-statistical procedure from the SCHUFA Holding AG, Kormoranweg 5, 65201 Wiesbaden (SCHUFA) to safeguard our legitimate interests. To this end, we transfer the personal data needed to make a credit check, including your address data, to the SCHUFA and use the obtained information about the statistical probability of a payment default to make a weighted decision about the justification, implementation or ending of the contractual relationship.
The credit report can contain probability values (score values) that are calculated based on scientifically recognised mathematical-statistical procedures, which incorporates address data, etc. Your interests worthy of protection will be considered in accordance with the statutory provisions.
You can object to the transmission of your data to SCHUFA at any time without incurring any costs other than transmission costs in accordance with the basic tariffs. A message in text form (e.g., e-mail, fax, letter) will be sufficient for this. We point out to you however, that in this case only prepayment is available to you as a payment option.

5. Cookies

Accepting cookies is not a prerequisite for visiting our website. However, be aware that you can only use the shopping cart and order products when cookies are activated.
What are cookies?
Cookies and flash cookies are small files that are stored on your data carrier and store the specific settings and data for exchange with our system via your browser. There are basically 2 different types of cookies: so-called “session cookies” that are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and temporary/permanent cookies that are stored on your data carrier for a longer period of time or indefinitely. This storage helps us to tailor our website and offers to you and makes your usage easier, since, for example, certain input from you is stored so that you will not need to repeat it each time you visit.
Which cookies do we use?
In order to make the use of our website more attractive and enable the use of certain functions, we use “cookies” on various sites. These are small text files that are filed on your end device. A few of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called “session cookies”). Other cookies remain on your end device and enable us or our partner companies to recognise your browser again during the next visit (“persistent cookies”).
You can adjust the settings on your browser so that you will be informed about the placement of cookies and only decide whether to accept them individually or exclude their acceptance in specified cases or in general. If you do not accept cookies, our website’s functionality may be limited.
Which data are stored in cookies?
No personal data will be stored in the cookies of ANTON HÜBNER GmbH & Co. KG. Therefore, the cookies we use cannot be traced to particular person, including you. When a cookie is activated, it is given an identification number. Your personal data can never be traced to this identification number. Your name, IP address or similar data that would allow the cookie to be traced to you are never taken. Based on the cookies’ technology, we only receive anonymised information about which pages of our shop are being visited, which products are being viewed, etc.
What is onsite targeting?
In our shop, data are collected based on cookie technology to optimise our advertisements and entire online services. These data are not used to identify you personally, but only help to anonymously assess the use of the homepage. Your data are never combined with the personal data we store. We use this technology to present you with advertising and/or special offers and services that is connected with the information obtained through clickstream analysis (for example, ads that are chosen based on the fact that only sports shoes were viewed in the last few days). Our goal is to make our online offerings as attractive as possible for you and present advertising to you that correspond with your areas of interest.
Are there also third-party vendor cookies (“third-party cookies”)?
ANTON HÜBNER GmbH & Co. KG is assisted by several advertising partners who help us configure internet offerings and the shop in a more interesting way for you. Therefore, when you visit our shop, cookies from partner companies are also stored on your hard drive. These are temporary cookies that will be deleted automatically after the predefined time. Cookies from partner companies will usually be deleted after a few days or up to 24 months, or, in exceptional cases, after several years. The cookies from our partner companies do also not contain personal data. Data are merely collected through a user ID pseudonym. These pseudonymous data are not combined with your personal data at any time.
For this our website uses so-called retargeting technology. We use these technologies in order to make the internet offerings more interesting to you. This technology lets us use advertising to address internet users who have already demonstrated interest in our shop and our products on our partners’ websites. We are convinced that showing a personalised, interest-oriented advertisement is usually more interesting for the internet user than advertisement that has no personal connection. These advertising materials are inserted on our partners’ sites based on cookie technology and an analysis of previous user behaviour. This form of advertising takes place completely anonymously. No personal data is stored and no user profiles are compiled with your personal data.
How can I object to the storing of cookies?
In your browser you can adjust the settings so that a cookie will only be accepted for storing if you agree. If you would like to only accept cookies from ANTON HÜBNER GmbH & Co. KG but not the cookies of our service providers and partners, you can select the setting “block cookies from third-party vendors”. You can usually see how to reject new cookies and discard those already received in the menu list of your web browser under the “help” function. You can discard and/or delete flash cookies, which are used through browser add-ons, by changing the settings of the browser add-on or the browser add-on through the manufacturer’s website. We recommend that you log off completely after finishing your work when using shared computers that are set to accept cookies and flash cookies. Accepting cookies is not required to visit our website, but you must activate cookies to use the shopping cart and to order products.

6. Log files

For each access to our shop, user data is transmitted through the respective internet browser and stored in protocol files known as “server log files”. The data records stored in this way contain the following data: date and time of access, name of the visited site, IP address, reference URL (source URL from which you came to our shop), the transferred amount of data, product and version information of the browser used.
The user’s IP addresses are deleted or anonymised after the use is ended (unless they are legally required to be stored). If they are anonymised, the IP addresses are altered so that individual data about personal or professional relationships can no longer be traced to a certain or identifiable natural person, or can be done so only at a disproportionately large expense of time, cost and use of resources.
We assess these log file data records in anonymised forms in order to further improve our services and internet presence and make these more user-friendly, find and remove errors more quickly, and to guide server capacity. For example, the time at which our shop is heavily visited can be clearly seen, so we can provide appropriate data volumes to ensure you the quickest possible purchase. We can also identify and remove any errors in the shop more rapidly by analysing the protocol files.

7. Web analysis

In order to continually improve and optimise our offerings, we use what is known as “tracking technology”. For this we use the services by Google Analytics and Econda.

7.1 Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information obtained by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a server of Google in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymising is activated on this website, however, Google will truncate your IP address beforehand within the member states of the EU or other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information in order to assess your use of the website, assemble reports about website activities and render services connected with website and internet use for the website operator. The IP address transferred from your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be combined with other Google data.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by changing the settings on your browser software appropriately; we point out however, that if you do so you may not be able to fully use all of the functions of this website. You can also prevent Google from recording and processing the data obtained through the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link:
You can always object to the collecting and storing of data by Google Analytics with future effect. Learn more under
7.2 econda
For the need-based design and in order to optimize this website, anonymous data are collected and stored by solutions and technologies of econda GmbH and also usage profiles are created from these data using pseudonyms.
For this purpose, cookies can be used to enable the recognition of an Internet browser. However, user profiles will not be merged with data about the bearer of the pseudonym without the visitor's explicit consent.
In particular, IP addresses are rendered unrecognizable immediately after receipt, so that an assignment of usage profiles to IP addresses is not possible.
Visitors to this website may object to this data collection and storage at any time for the future here:
The contradiction only applies to the device and the web browser on which it was set; if necessary please repeat the process on all devices.
After having deleted the opt-out cookie the subsequent requests will be stored by default again.
To contradict, you can also use the following link:

8. Data Protection – Social Plug-ins

8.1 Facebook
Our website uses social plug-ins (“plug-ins”) of the social network, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plug-ins are recognisable by one of the Facebook Logos (white “f” on a blue tile or a “thumbs-up” sign) or are identified with the addition “Facebook Social Plug-in”. The list and appearance of Facebook social plug-ins can be seen here:
If you access one of our websites that contains such a plug-in, your browser will connect directly with the Facebook server. Facebook will transfer the content of the plug-in directly to your browser and then incorporate it into the website. We therefore have no influence on the extent of data that Facebook collects with the help of this plug-in, so we are informing you accordingly about our state of knowledge.
By incorporating plug-ins, Facebook is informed that you have accessed the corresponding page of our internet presence. If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign your visit to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plug-ins (e.g., by clicking the “like” button or commenting), the corresponding information will be transferred from your browser directly to Facebook and stored there. Facebook might be able to learn your IP address and store it even if you are not a Facebook member.
Please consult Facebook’s data protection information to learn about how, why and to what extent Facebook collects, processes and uses data, your rights in this matter, and how to adjust your settings to protect your private sphere:
If you are a member of Facebook and do not want Facebook to assign data to a Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website.
You can also block Facebook social plug-ins with add-ons for your browser; for example, with the “Facebook blocker”.
8.2 Google plus and Twitter
Our website also uses the social networks:
Google Plus (red “g+1” on a white background), which is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States and Twitter (blue bird and the logotype “Twitter”), operated by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, United States.
The statements made under 7.1 apply to these plug-ins as well.
Please consult Google plus’ data protection information to learn about how, why and to what extent Google plus and/or Twitter collect, process and use data, your rights in this matter, and how to adjust your settings to protect your private sphere: Google plus:
To block Google plus and Twitter, for example, the add-on “” can be used.

9. Secure data transfer

We transfer your personal data securely by using encoding. This applies to your orders and customer login. For this, we use the coding system SSL (Secure Socket Layer). Although no one can guarantee absolute security, we secure our website and other systems against loss, destruction, access, alteration or dissemination of your data through unauthorised persons by using technical and organisational measures.
